9/9/06: 640 jumps and a New world record, plus we raised thousands and thousands of dollars for our charities.7/12/06: Skydive Greensburg announces that the Spinal Cord Injury Association will be represented at the MostJumps2006, to support Jay and to raise awareness for their organization. After the completion of Jay's new World Record, 25 Spinal Cord Injury victims (quadriplegics and paraplegics) will be making tandem skydives, sponsored by Skydive Greensburg. Former NFL star, injured during a game, Mike Utley is joining our effort to raise dollars for the Special Olympics. Famous for his courageous "thumbs up" sign given on national television, Mike's fighting spirit and self-sufficiency despite his disability have been an inspiration to many. His Mike Utley Foundation, dedicated to helping all people with spinal cord injuries, was established in December 1991 and has raised money and awareness. Mike will actually be making a skydive after the conclusion of Jay's World Record attempt on September 8, 2006. |
